Taiwanese host Sandra has gallbladder removed due to pregnancy-induced gallstones

Taiwanese host and English teacher Sandra, who recently became a mother, has undergone surgery to remove her gallbladder. The procedure was necessitated by gallstones that developed during her pregnancy, a condition she described as causing excruciating, recurring pain.

Sandra revealed that hormonal changes during pregnancy triggered the gallstones. She recalled an episode of intense abdominal pain on Mother's Day, which led to a hospital visit. Initially suspected to be acute gastritis, further examination revealed the true cause: gallstones obstructing her bile duct, a revelation that left her exclaiming about the severity of the pain.

She learned that approximately one in ten pregnant women can develop gallstones due to hormonal shifts. Sandra humorously noted her existing C-section scar and questioned if another major surgery was necessary. She also inquired about non-surgical remedies, jokingly asking for "divine methods to shatter gallstones."

Reflecting on her hospital visits, Sandra contrasted the joy of welcoming her son, Jackson, with the current necessity of surgery to remove the "ticking time bomb" that had plagued her for months. Before her surgery, she shared a tender moment with her son, bidding him farewell before heading to the hospital.

Sandra expressed a commitment to prioritizing her health and achieving a better work-life balance. As she prepared for the operating room, she humorously told fans, "Don't scare me anymore, I have no gall." She also wished herself luck, ending with a self-deprecating remark about her lack of "gall."
