Taiwanese music groups revisit alma maters for documentary series

Taiwanese music groups AcQUA源少年 and GENBLUE 幻藍小熊 have returned to their former schools for the first season of the Public Television Service documentary series "HITSTORY_ Back 2 School." The series aims to bring viewers back to the pure days of youth.

Stepping back onto campus felt special. I didn't expect to return to my alma mater in this way. Standing in familiar places brought back many memories of my student days. It was truly moving and I miss those simple, passionate times.

AcQUA源少年 revisited Tainan's Xinhua High School, recalling passionate performances at the guitar club. "Stepping back onto campus felt special," said captain Huang Sheng-ming. "I didn't expect to return to my alma mater in this way. Standing in familiar places brought back many memories of my student days. It was truly moving and I miss those simple, passionate times."

GENBLUE 幻藍小熊 returned to Hua Kang Arts School. "What I miss most is lunchtime at Hua Kang," said captain XXIN. "We bought tatami mats and set up a small sleeping space in the back of the classroom!" Yu recalled the daily stair climbing as a tough but memorable challenge, cherishing the days of chatting with classmates and running around after class. Cai Zhen, a recent graduate, found returning to campus both familiar and nostalgic. NICO added that with less time on campus usually, she now cherishes returning even more.

GENBLUE 幻藍小熊 also shared their excitement about winning the Golden Melody Award for Best Singing Group. "Our phones were exploding with messages!" XXIN exclaimed. "What excited us most was seeing our goddess Jolin Tsai up close at the ceremony. Noticing her intently listening as we gave our acceptance speech was probably the most dazzling moment besides winning the award itself!" The group also suggested potential guests for the second season, including rappers Gummy B and Ni!KA, fellow labelmates 728SEVENTOEIGHT, and singer Chen Hua.
