Taiwanese Singer Liu Hung-ling, 44, Reveals Secret 12-Year Marriage and Two Children

Taiwanese singer Liu Hung-ling, known for her 'innocent' image, has revealed she has been married for 12 years and is now a mother of two. The 44-year-old artist, who debuted 19 years ago, has largely stayed out of the public eye, dedicating her time to her family and co-founding a tennis academy with her husband, a tennis coach.

These past few years, I chose to slow down my pace and dedicate the most time to my family, growing alongside my children. I cherish those seemingly ordinary days because, for me, they are the most precious moments in life.

Liu described her decision to slow down as a choice to dedicate more time to her family and cherish what she calls the "most precious moments" of her life. However, her journey has not been without hardship. The passing of a beloved pet plunged her into a period of depression and panic, from which she spent five years learning to recover and rediscover herself.

My world suddenly felt like it was missing a piece. The pain of losing a family member plunged me into depression and panic. For a long time, I struggled with my emotions, spending about five years learning how to stand up again and find myself.

This period of introspection led Liu to a deeper appreciation for her current life. She and her husband launched a Spanish tennis academy last year, which has attracted students like singers Lin Tsai-hsin and Kuang Tse-tung. Her 12-year-old son, who inherited his father's tennis talent, has been selected for the U12 national team and will compete in the upcoming ITF U12 Team Championships East Asia qualifiers.

My husband is also a tennis coach and was the siblings' initial coach, but now he has stepped back into the role of father, and other coaches are leading them.

Despite her focus on family and the tennis business, Liu's passion for music remains. She has never stopped singing and hopes to release a Taiwanese Hokkien album. She recalls her parents' praise for her emotional delivery of such songs and now feels a sense of urgency to fulfill this wish, seeing it as a way to share her life experiences, love, and gratitude with her parents and fans.

In these years, although I have been away from the stage for a while, I have never stopped loving to sing. Music has always been in my life, but I needed some time to sort myself out and accumulate more life stories. If I were to release an album again, the one I most want to complete is a Taiwanese Hokkien album.
