Talas Region Entrance Arch Renovated Ahead of Independence Day Celebrations

Preparations are underway for the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, with a significant renovation of the entrance arch to the Talas region now complete. Presidential Envoy to Talas region, Ermat Dzhumaev, confirmed the project's progress.

The renovation is being carried out on the direct instructions of the president and aligns with the development strategy for the Talas region. Beyond the arch itself, the project encompasses the complete refurbishment of the Manas monument and the installation of the "Seven Precepts of Manas" nearby, adding cultural and historical significance to the site.

As part of the project, the entrance arch was renovated and a recreation area was completed. It is planned to open it on September 4–5. The monument to Manas was completely renovated, and the Seven Precepts of Manas were installed nearby.

A crucial development for the region is the construction of a 37-kilometer power line connecting Taldy-Bulak to the entrance arch. Previously, the valley lacked electricity. This new infrastructure opens up possibilities for establishing electric vehicle charging stations, cafes, restaurants, and other roadside services, enhancing convenience and economic potential.

Lighting is also being installed along the road leading to the arch to improve safety. The entire reconstruction project is slated for completion by September 5–6, with an estimated total cost of approximately 20 million soms. The renovated entrance is planned to officially open on September 4–5.
