Tallinn Kunstigümnaasium Still Seeks New Director Amidst Extended Deadlines

Tallinn's Kunstigümnaasium is still searching for a new director, entering its second recruitment competition after the previous head resigned. The school faced scrutiny from the Ministry of Education, which highlighted deficiencies in curriculum, teacher qualifications, and school management.

Following the public release of the critical administrative inspection report, Mari-Liis Sults, who had led the Kunstigümnaasium for ten years, announced her resignation. She asserted that her decision was not a direct result of the inspection findings but rather a personal desire to move to a different school.

Despite the ongoing search for a new leader, deadlines for complying with several directives issued by the ministry have been extended, indicating the school's ongoing challenges in addressing the identified shortcomings.
