Tamaulipas governor highlights border development projects

Tamaulipas is advancing with a robust portfolio of works and programs designed to bolster the northern border's competitiveness and enhance the quality of life for its residents, according to Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya. He stated that the state is entering a new phase of development and well-being, supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo's administration.

Speaking at a flag ceremony and the inauguration of the exhibition "La Gran Fuerza de México," organized by the Secretariat of National Defense, Villarreal Anaya outlined key projects. These include significant advancements in infrastructure, logistics, and customs and port modernization. He also pointed to crucial hydraulic projects for primary production and an unprecedented series of social programs aimed at fostering peace, prosperity, and well-being.

The governor recognized the collaborative efforts between federal, state, and municipal governments in bringing the "La Gran Fuerza de México" exhibition back to Tamaulipas. He expressed gratitude to the Secretary of National Defense and military leaders for providing an interactive space that showcases the capabilities, functions, and values of Mexico's Armed Forces. The exhibition aims to strengthen ties of trust and collaboration between the military and society.

General Rubén Darío Díaz Esparza, interim commander of the IV Military Region, explained that the exhibition's purpose is to foster closer relationships and trust between the Armed Forces and the public. The event in Matamoros, part of the Bicentennial commemorations, brought together civil and military authorities from all three levels of government.
