Rental prices around Tamsui's three major universities show distinct patterns, with independent studios near Tamkang University experiencing fluctuations tied to the academic calendar. Rents for these studios range from NT$6,000 to NT$9,500 during the semester and NT$6,500 to NT$10,400 outside of peak periods.

In contrast, rental properties near Hsuan Chuang University of Science and Technology primarily consist of shared studio apartments. The rental prices here are more stable, hovering between NT$5,500 and NT$8,500 throughout the year, with little variation between semesters.

The rental market near the Tamsui campus of Taipei University of Marine Technology presents a different scenario. Here, whole-unit rentals are more prevalent, with prices ranging from NT$17,000 to NT$23,000. These rentals are also characterized by stability, with no significant spikes in demand or price related to the academic year, likely due to their proximity to the Tamsui New Town and newer residential buildings.

The Tamsui Land Administration Office advises renters to consider factors beyond monthly rent, such as housing type, commute distance, and local amenities. They encourage the public to utilize government real estate transaction data to compare prices and find suitable accommodations.
