Tandoor bakery explodes in Astana, leaving people injured

An explosion rocked a tandoor bakery in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday morning, injuring four people and causing significant damage. The blast occurred at 8:55 a.m. at a building on Zhiyenkulov Street. Authorities confirmed that a 50-liter gas cylinder detonated inside the bakery. The force of the explosion caused part of the ceiling and the doorway to collapse. A nearby Toyota vehicle was also damaged.

Emergency services responded quickly, with police reporting that four injured individuals were found during an initial sweep. Doctors provided treatment to one person at the scene, while the other three were transported to the hospital. The injured include two Uzbek citizens, aged 41 and 19, who were inside the premises at the time of the blast. Two Kazakh citizens, a 16-year-old male and a 27-year-old man, also sustained injuries in the incident.

During the reconnaissance, four injured people were found and are being taken to hospital. Doctors are also examining one injured person at the scene.
