Taoyuan City Launches Postpartum Caregiver Training for New Residents

Taoyuan City's Bureau of Women and Children's Development, in collaboration with the Taoyuan Midwives Association, has launched the "115th New Resident Postpartum Caregiver Talent Training Program." This initiative aims to enhance the employment competitiveness of new residents by equipping them with professional skills in maternal and infant care.

The program is designed to recruit 40 individuals interested in postpartum care. Participants will undergo comprehensive training, totaling 202 hours, covering both professional infant care (126 hours) and specialized postpartum caregiver (76 hours) modules. The training is scheduled to run from July 2 to August 12, with classes held weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eligibility is open to unemployed individuals aged 18 and above who are willing to work and possess insufficient job skills. New residents are given priority for admission. Applications are being accepted in person at the Taoyuan Midwives Association until June 23.

Beneficiaries who meet the criteria can receive full tuition subsidies. During the training period, participants may also apply for living allowances. Upon successful completion of the program and fulfillment of requirements, attendees will be awarded a certificate, facilitating their transition into employment and career development in the field of childcare and postpartum support.
