Firefighters in Taoyuan City are proactively addressing fire safety concerns at residential-style temples, which combine living quarters with religious functions. The Dayou Fire Station recently visited the Shengyi Hall to conduct safety inspections and educational outreach, recognizing the inherent fire risks posed by practices like burning incense, lighting candles, and offering paper money.

During the visit, fire personnel meticulously examined the temple's fire safety protocols, including its use of electricity, designated escape routes, and the presence of smoke detectors. They provided crucial advice to temple management, stressing the importance of regular electrical equipment checks and the removal of combustible materials to maintain a safe environment. The firefighters also highlighted the significance of residential smoke alarms and demonstrated their functionality.

Dayou Fire Station Chief Hong Zhengyan emphasized that temples serving dual residential and religious purposes require stringent fire safety management.
