Tartu Museum Opens its Doors to Dogs for Special Event

Tartu Toy Museum in Estonia is opening its doors to canine companions for a special "Dog in the Museum" day on Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This unique event invites visitors to bring their well-behaved and socialized dogs to explore the museum's permanent exhibition. The initiative aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owners, offering a novel way to experience the museum's collections.

Katrin Vask, curator of the museum's public programs and one of the event's organizers, highlighted some of the day's attractions. A special "paw book" library will be introduced, offering a unique literary experience for dog lovers. Additionally, a small agility course will be set up in the museum courtyard for dogs to enjoy, providing an opportunity for play and exercise.

Visitors can also admire a one-day exhibition showcasing toys specifically designed for office dogs. This display offers a glimpse into the world of canine companionship in professional settings and the accessories that support it. The event promises a fun and engaging day for dogs and their owners, blending cultural exploration with pet-friendly activities.
