Tashkent, Doha hold talks on Afghanistan

Uzbekistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met with Qatar's Ambassador to Tashkent, Hassan Hamza Hashim, to discuss pressing issues concerning Afghanistan. The meeting, held Tuesday, centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, economy, transport, logistics, culture, and humanitarian aid, all aimed at supporting Afghanistan's long-term stability and development.

The Qatari envoy acknowledged and praised Uzbekistan's persistent efforts toward Afghanistan's socio-economic recovery. Hashim specifically highlighted Tashkent's crucial role in fostering regional stability and advancing development within the war-torn nation. This recognition underscores the collaborative approach both countries are taking to address the complex challenges in Afghanistan.

Both Irgashev and Hashim reaffirmed their dedication to deepening Uzbekistan-Qatar relations.
