Teacher arrested in Italy over alleged abuse of minor students

An Italian teacher in the Brindisi region has been arrested and placed under house arrest, accused of aggravated sexual abuse against underage female students. The arrest order was issued by the preliminary investigations judge at the Brindisi court, following a request from the public prosecutor's office.

The investigation was initiated by the Carabinieri after the school principal was alerted by parents. The parents had learned from their daughters about the alleged abuse occurring within the classroom. This is not the first time the teacher has faced accusations of similar misconduct; he had previously received disciplinary sanctions for comparable behavior.

According to reports, the young girls confided in other teachers about what was happening in class. These accounts were then relayed to the Carabinieri, who have been gathering evidence.
