Teen arrested for allegedly murdering mother during argument

An 18-year-old son has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his mother to death during a dispute at their home in Incheon. The court issued an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified only as "A," citing a flight risk and the necessity of detention for a minor in this case.

The incident occurred on July 7 around 8:30 PM in Bupyeong-gu. "A" reportedly got into an argument with his mother, identified as "N," and then stabbed her with a knife. "N" was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries. Authorities also revealed that the suspect is believed to have killed their pet dog.

During his appearance at the Incheon District Court for a pre-arrest hearing, the suspect remained silent when questioned by reporters about the motive for the argument and his feelings toward his mother. He also did not respond to questions about the conflict or why he turned himself in. The suspect's father and sibling were not at home during the incident.
