Teen hospitalized after moped-vehicle collision; Quebec police seek witnesses

Authorities in Quebec are appealing to the public for assistance in locating witnesses to a serious traffic accident that occurred early Sunday morning. The incident involved a vehicle colliding with a teenage boy riding a moped in Les Cedres, located in the Montérégie region south of Montreal.

Police reported that a passing motorist discovered the injured 15-year-old and his damaged moped on the side of Route 338. The discovery was made shortly before 1 a.m. between Chemin St-Féréol and Chemin St-Dominique. The teenager was subsequently transported to the hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.

The Surete du Quebec's Vaudreuil-Dorion Major Crimes investigation team is actively seeking anyone who may have seen the collision. They are also asking for information from individuals who might have observed a vehicle exhibiting damage consistent with striking a moped. The police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
