Teenager charged with murder after death in Melbourne's north

A 16-year-old boy faces a murder charge after a fatal stabbing in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was discovered with stab wounds in the car park of Craigieburn Community Hospital on Wednesday evening.

Despite resuscitation efforts by hospital staff, the teenager died at the scene. Detectives from the Homicide Squad have since charged the 16-year-old with murder. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before a children's court.

Authorities also arrested a 20-year-old man from Beveridge and a 15-year-old girl in connection with the incident. The man faces charges of criminal damage by fire, while the girl is accused of affray and theft of a motor vehicle. Both have been granted bail and will appear in court at a later date.

In a separate development, police arrested another 15-year-old boy on Friday morning. He is currently being interviewed by police in relation to the death. Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage or information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
