Teens among five charged with breaches of Firearms Act in Jamaica

Authorities in Kingston, Jamaica, have charged five men, two of whom are minors, in connection with the seizure of a firearm and ammunition. The arrests followed an incident on Constitution Hill in St. Andrew on Thursday.

The individuals charged are 22-year-old farmer Dayshawn Graham, 18-year-old Aldomar Anglin, a 17-year-old male from Kingston 11, another 17-year-old male from St. Andrew, and 21-year-old mechanic Krisodean Hall. All are listed with St. Andrew addresses, except for one minor. They face charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

According to reports, a police team was pursuing investigative leads when they encountered the group of five males on the roadway, suspected of being armed. During a subsequent search of the area, a Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition was found on the ground in front of the accused. All five were then arrested and charged.

Their court date is currently being finalized, indicating the legal process is underway for the firearm-related charges.
