Ten IDF soldiers wounded in Lebanon clashes with Hezbollah, three is serious condition

Our brave soldiers continue to face intense fighting in southern Lebanon, with the IDF reporting ten soldiers wounded overnight, three of them seriously. This heavy cost underscores the ongoing dangers our forces confront daily as they work to secure our northern border.

Tragically, Sergeant Major (Res.) Ayal Uriel Bianco, a 30-year-old reservist, was killed during these operations. His sacrifice, leaving behind a wife and three young children, is a profound loss to his family and to Israel. In the same engagement, one reservist was moderately wounded, and two others sustained light injuries, highlighting the fierce nature of the combat.

Despite assurances that much of Hezbollah's capacity has been degraded, the terror group persists with guerilla tactics. They continue to pose a threat through ambushes and distant attacks, demonstrating their continued ability to inflict harm. The IDF remains committed to holding southern Lebanon for an extended period, even as questions linger about a clear exit strategy and the long-term implications of this prolonged conflict.

Despite IDF assurances that the vast majority of Hezbollah has already been cleared out of southern Lebanon, the terror group has retained the capacity for small guerilla warfare cells to ambush larger groups of IDF soldiers or to strike IDF soldiers from a distance from beyond the Litani River with drones and rockets.
