Tensions Flare in Užice After Ruling Party Rally; Police Separate Groups

The city of Užice is experiencing heightened tensions following a rally held by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Even after the event concluded, numerous police officers equipped for crowd control were observed separating local citizens from SNS supporters who had been bused into the city.

According to Petar Holik of the "Bravo" Civic Movement, local Užice residents expressed their discontent as SNS supporters were leaving the rally. Holik reported that citizens shouted at the supporters, who then allegedly responded by throwing bottles and stones. This incident occurred as supporters were heading back to their buses.
