Tesla launches $225 balance bike for kids, not an electric bicycle

Tesla, the electric vehicle and energy company led by Elon Musk, has unveiled a new product that has surprised many of its followers: a balance bike for children. Priced at $225, the "Tesla Balance Bike for Kids" is designed to help young children develop balance and stability, serving as a precursor to riding a traditional bicycle.

The bike features adjustable height with five levels and is suitable for children with a minimum leg length of 35 centimeters. It can support up to 35 kilograms and comes with the necessary assembly tools. Pre-orders begin on July 31, with the first shipments expected in the United States by the end of August.

This new offering comes as a surprise, as many Tesla enthusiasts had anticipated the launch of an electric bicycle or other more advanced products. The company has been expanding its range of children's products, which already includes the $1,650 Cyberquad for Kids, an electric ATV inspired by the Cybertruck, and the $1,500 Cybertruck for Kids, a rideable truck that can carry two children. The balance bike represents a more accessible entry point into the Tesla-themed toy market.
