The childhood love story of Camila Galante and Boca idol Leandro Paredes

Camila Galante, the wife of Boca Juniors player Leandro Paredes, has opened up about the childhood romance that became a marriage and family life.

Speaking to Pia Shaw in an exclusive interview with LA NACION, Galante described herself as someone who keeps a low profile. She recalled how Paredes first entered her life when he played in Boca’s youth teams with her younger brother, Ramiro.

Paredes was eight and living in San Justo, while Galante, two years older, lived in Caballito. Their families regularly attended the matches, and Paredes spent much of his childhood at the Galantes’ home. He played with Ramiro, stayed overnight and joined the family on vacations.

Galante said Paredes openly treated her as his girlfriend before she knew he had made that decision. “I told everyone he was my boyfriend,” she recalled in an interview with Perros de la calle. As he grew older, his feelings became harder to hide. Paredes later said he had the word “Cami” tattooed on his neck before they were officially together because he believed she would be the woman of his life. Galante cried when he showed her the tattoo.

Their messages gradually became more affectionate. The relationship continued as Paredes took his first steps at Boca and later moved to Europe. They eventually married and had three children, Victoria, Giovanni and Lautaro. Now back in Argentina, Galante told the story of a relationship that began in childhood and remains closely followed in the world of sport.
