“The club will take every necessary measure”: Coquimbo Unido condemns attack on Christian Bravo

Coquimbo Unido condemned the attack on Huachipato goalkeeper Christian Bravo after noise bombs were used during a match that was subsequently suspended.

The club will take every necessary measure to identify those responsible, apply the corresponding admission bans and pursue the appropriate legal actions.

The club blamed a small group of its supporters and said their conduct harmed Coquimbo Unido, the sport and Chilean football. It apologized to Huachipato and specifically to Bravo.

Coquimbo Unido expresses its strong condemnation and total rejection of the criminal actions of a very small part of our supporters, which harms the institution, sport and Chilean football.

The statement came as Coquimbo Unido marked its 68th anniversary. The club said it would take every necessary measure to identify those involved, apply the relevant admission bans and pursue legal action where appropriate.
