"The Mexican Miracle" is possible in 2027 elections, says PRI leader Alito Moreno

Alejandro Moreno, the leader of Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), declared that the opposition will achieve "the Mexican miracle" and win the 2027 general elections. These elections will determine control of federal and state legislatures, as well as numerous municipal positions across 17 states.

Moreno criticized the ruling Morena party for concentrating power, stating that they have controlled institutions and budgets that should serve all Mexicans. He argued that Morena has mistaken its majority for correctness and its power for truth, asserting that "Mexico does not belong to them."

He expressed confidence that if the opposition succeeds, decisions will return to citizens, checks and balances will be restored, institutions will be strengthened, and a new period of national growth, prosperity, and unity will begin. Moreno acknowledged the challenge of facing a party with immense power but stressed that millions of Mexicans believe in the country's potential to regain its course.

With one year remaining until the election, Moreno emphasized the need for organization, persuasion, construction, voting, and winning. He concluded by stating, "Mexico is much larger than any government and much stronger than any party. Therefore, we are going for the Mexican Miracle. We are going to return power to Mexico."
