Rajko Dujmić, affectionately known as the 'little Mozart of pop music,' is remembered as one of Croatia's most prominent composers of pop and entertainment music. His legacy continues to resonate, with songs by his band Novi fosili frequently featured on television and radio programs, even years after his passing.

Dujmić's impact was particularly felt on the Eurovision stage. He was the most successful Croatian composer at the contest, achieving notable success with songs like Riva's "Rock Me Baby" in 1989, which brought Eurovision to Zagreb, and Srebrna krila's "Mangup" in 1988, which placed sixth. Novi fosili's "Ja sam za ples" also secured fourth place in 1987. Officially, Dujmić and lyricist Stevo Cvikić rank 16th in Eurovision's history for success.

Beyond Eurovision, Dujmić's domestic success was equally impressive. With Novi fosili, he achieved second place seven times in domestic competitions. His collaborations with Cvikić resulted in three consecutive selections for Eurovision. Dujmić's talent was apparent early on; he began his professional career in the band Klan as a keyboardist in Zagreb before joining Novi fosili in the mid-seventies.
