Third Person Charged in Regina Homicide Investigation

Regina police have arrested and charged a third individual in connection with the deaths of two people earlier this month. A 30-year-old man is now facing charges related to the shooting deaths of a 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man.

The victims were discovered deceased outside a home in the 1100 block of Elphinstone Street on the morning of August 11. The third suspect, arrested on Tuesday, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder. He also faces four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

His first court appearance was scheduled for Wednesday morning. This arrest follows charges laid against two women, aged 42 and 19, who are also accused of two counts of second-degree murder. The younger woman faces additional charges for unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded or prohibited firearm. Police have stated they will not release the victims' names at the request of their families.
