Thompson, Pizarro Named in Report on Chilean Drug Trafficker's Circle

Chilean footballers Jordhy Thompson and Damián Pizarro, both formerly of Colo Colo, have been named in a report investigating the associates of a notorious Chilean drug trafficker. The report by Chilevisión, a collaboration between "CHV Noticias" and "Contigo en la Mañana," revealed social media evidence of the trafficker, identified as Byron Labarca, also known as "Chicorte," interacting with prominent figures in Chilean football and urban music.

Among those mentioned alongside Thompson and Pizarro were urban artists Jere Klein and Lucky Brown. The investigation delved into Labarca's alleged territorial and economic influence, as well as the lavish lifestyle he displayed online, which included travel, luxury items, parties, and visits to exclusive clubs in eastern Santiago.

Crucially, the report does not attribute any criminal activity to the footballers. Instead, their inclusion stems from their presence in the social records examined as part of the investigation into Labarca's network.
