Three dead, four injured in Caracas highway crash after truck loses control

A horrific traffic accident on the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro highway in Caracas claimed three lives and injured four others on Wednesday night. The crash occurred near the El Ciempiés distributor, heading towards Petare.

A truck driver lost control of his vehicle, colliding with a fixed structure. The impact caused the truck's cargo to fall onto the road, striking multiple cars and three motorcycles. Two of the deceased were occupants of an affected vehicle.

Emergency services, including firefighters from the Capital District and Civil Protection officials, responded swiftly. They initiated rescue operations for the injured and began clearing the scene of the wreckage. Officials from the Traffic Accident Investigation Division and the National Service of Forensic Medicine and Sciences are investigating the cause of the crash and have begun the process of identifying the deceased.
