Three Dead in Guayaquil Salsa Club Massacre; Two Suspects Arrested

A violent shooting at a salsa club in Guayaquil on July 5, 2026, resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a 16-year-old, and left two others wounded. The attack occurred around 2:00 AM in the city's Portete district.

According to police reports, multiple armed individuals entered the establishment and fired shots indiscriminately at patrons inside and in the vicinity. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with victims found in various locations, including outside the club and near the bar area.
