Three historic Estonian manors offered for auction, promising unique investment opportunities

Estonia is offering a rare opportunity to invest in its cultural heritage with three distinct historic manor houses now available through public auction. These properties present diverse possibilities for developing tourism, spa services, or event management businesses.

The most prominent offering is the Mäetaguse manor and von ROSEN Spa in Ida-Virumaa, with a starting bid of 1.5 million euros. This complex currently operates as a full-service spa hotel, including accommodation, a restaurant, seminar rooms, and a wellness center. The new owner can seamlessly continue existing operations upon acquisition.

Also located in Ida-Virumaa, the Kukruse manor and its granary are seeking a new owner with a starting price of 500,000 euros. This historic site is known for its connections to polar explorer Eduard von Toll and offers versatile potential for tourism and cultural event ventures.

The most affordable option is the Võidula manor in Pärnumaa, with a starting bid of 99,000 euros. This property is notable as one of Estonia's few surviving wooden manor houses. While it requires renovation, it holds significant potential for transformation into a unique accommodation, cultural, or tourism destination.

Kaire Pärnsalu, a representative from Varakeskus, the auction platform, highlighted the rarity of offering such varied manor complexes simultaneously. She emphasized that these are not just historical buildings but sites with the potential to create jobs, boost regional tourism, and preserve Estonia's cultural legacy for future generations.
