Three Injured, Two Critically, in Caracas Traffic Accident

A serious traffic accident on Francisco Miranda Avenue in Caracas left three people injured, with two sustaining severe wounds. The incident occurred near Plaza Altamira, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

Mayor Gustavo Duque reported the accident via social media, confirming the severity of the injuries. He stated that Civil Protection and Public Works teams were dispatched to assist the wounded and manage the scene. A Civil Protection official indicated that the two critically injured individuals were transported to El Llanito hospital.

The third injured person, described as more stable, suffered minor leg trauma. The collision involved a van and a motorcycle. The van's driver was among the most seriously injured, suffering widespread trauma.

Local authorities arrived promptly at the scene, providing immediate medical assistance and immobilizing the injured for safe transport by ambulance. Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident and assign responsibility.
