Three inmates escape Sonora prison; search operation launched

A security operation is underway in Sonora after three inmates escaped from the Cereso No. 2 prison. The escape was discovered around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, during a routine roll call at the facility located on the Hermosillo-Bahía de Kino highway.

Law enforcement agencies, including the State Public Security Police, the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency, the National Guard, and the Mexican Army, have intensified their presence. They are conducting search and track operations in the surrounding areas and securing the prison's entrances.
