Three killed and 29 injured after two buses and car collide in Nuevo León

Three people died and at least 29 were injured after two employee-transport buses and a car collided in Pesquería, Nuevo León.

The crash was reported at about 6:20 a.m. on the Santa María la Floreña highway near kilometer 15 in Ejido La Victoria. One bus, operated by TransNort, overturned. A second bus from Milán suffered severe front-end damage, while the compact car was almost destroyed.

Civil Protection personnel from Nuevo León and Pesquería, Red Cross paramedics and private-company rescuers responded to the scene. They found three people dead, including one beside the car, one near the overturned bus and another several meters away.

Initial reports said 12 people were injured, including three in serious condition who were taken to the Mexican Social Security Institute’s Clinic 67. Authorities halted traffic on the highway while emergency crews worked and removed the vehicles.
