Three Killed in Idaho Shopping Area Shooting; Gunman Among Dead

A shooting incident near a busy In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday resulted in three fatalities and at least two injuries, according to police. The gunman was also killed in the incident, authorities confirmed.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. local time in a high-traffic commercial area. Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks announced that the immediate threat to the community had been neutralized. However, officials were still in the process of confirming the precise number of casualties and notifying the next of kin.

It was a very chaotic scene.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene. One witness, Lane Koehn, reported seeing a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru, followed by another individual armed with a pistol who began firing at the suspect. Koehn also observed an In-N-Out employee dragging a coworker who had been shot in the chest across the parking lot.

Another witness, Haley Dodaro, initially mistook the commotion for a fire before realizing an active shooter was present. She described people running and screaming, calling the experience "very scary." Authorities responded rapidly, closing roads and a nearby bridge as multiple law enforcement agencies converged on the scene. The investigation into the gunman's identity and motive is ongoing.
