Three killed in separate road incidents across Ireland

Three individuals lost their lives in separate road accidents across Ireland on Sunday. The fatalities occurred in Co Meath, Co Tipperary, and Co Clare, involving an e-scooter driver, a teenager, and a passenger respectively.

In Co Meath, an unidentified male e-scooter driver died after a collision with a car on the Kentstown Road in Navan around 1:45 a.m. The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, and a male passenger in his 20s were unharmed. The road was closed for examination by Garda technical staff.

Separately, a male teenager was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the L4101 at Lanespark, Ballynonty, Thurles, in Co Tipperary around 3:45 a.m. His body was taken to Waterford University Hospital for a postmortem examination. The road was also closed for technical examination.

In Co Clare, a male passenger in his 50s died following a single-vehicle collision on the R446 at Gortnaglogh, Broadford, around 5:30 p.m. The driver of the car, also in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick. The road remained closed for examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to all three incidents and have requested road users to provide any digital recordings from the relevant times and locations. Information can be provided to Thurles Garda station, Navan Garda station, Ennis Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station.
