Three siblings found dead on father’s farm in Ondo

Residents of Oke Ogba in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, were left mourning after three children from the same family were found dead on their father’s farm.

The victims were identified as 11-year-old twins Joshua and Jacob Jonah, and their five-year-old sister, Blessing. The children had accompanied their father, Samuel Jonah, to the farm on Friday. They later left for home while their father remained at work.

When Samuel returned home and found that the children were missing, the family began searching for them. Their bodies were discovered the following day near a small river on the farm, around the Owena Army Barracks area of Akure.

The circumstances of the deaths had not been established. Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abayomi Jimoh confirmed the incident and said the command had begun documenting and investigating what happened. He said the bodies had been taken by their father for burial.
