Three teenage boys rescued by United Hatzalah in Sea of Galilee after drifting to deep waters

Three teenagers were rescued from the Sea of Galilee after their rubber boat drifted into deep waters and they were unable to return to shore. United Hatzalah, a volunteer-based emergency medical organization, dispatched a rescue vessel after receiving a report about the boat straying off course near Shikmim Beach.

The rescue team located the teenagers and brought them safely back to land. United Hatzalah medical personnel assessed the boys at the marina, where they were found to be suffering from mild dehydration. "We located the teenagers in deep water and brought them safely back to shore. Fortunately, they were all in stable condition," said Yossi Oknin, head of United Hatzalah’s Tiberias branch.

Oknin added that since the beginning of the summer vacation, United Hatzalah’s rescue boat has been on high alert to respond to any emergency. The Tiberias branch is one of the few equipped with an aquatic rescue unit, and the organization provides free service throughout Israel with over 8,600 active volunteers.
