Tin Warehouse Fire in Jinshan; Owner Injured During Escape

A fire erupted in a two-story tin warehouse on a hillside in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, around 7 a.m. Tuesday, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky. The New Taipei City Fire Department responded swiftly, deploying 22 vehicles and 44 firefighters to the scene.

Crews quickly established water lines and battled the blaze, successfully extinguishing it and preventing it from spreading to the surrounding forest and residential areas. The warehouse, located on a slope, experienced a significant fire, with an estimated 50 square meters affected.

During the escape, the warehouse owner stumbled and fell, sustaining multiple abrasions and bruises. Firefighters provided immediate first aid before transporting the owner to the hospital. The owner is reportedly in stable condition and faces no life-threatening danger. The exact cause of the fire and the extent of the material losses are still under investigation by the fire investigation unit.
