Tinubu: Abuja City Walk Will Transform FCT Into Global Hub for Commerce, Innovation

President Bola Tinubu has officially launched the sales office and experience center for the ambitious Abuja City Walk project, signaling a significant step towards transforming Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory (FCT) into a global center for commerce, innovation, and modern urban living. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu emphasized that the development embodies his administration's "Renewed Hope Agenda."

Described as one of Nigeria's most significant private-sector investments, the Abuja City Walk is strategically located along the international airport corridor. It is envisioned as the nation's primary gateway to the world, drawing inspiration from globally recognized developments like Dubai's City Walk. The project has been tailored to suit Nigeria's unique environment and aspirations, aiming to attract substantial investment and stimulate economic growth.

Tinubu highlighted the project as tangible proof of his administration's commitment to execution, stating, "This experience centre stands as proof that our administration does not just make promises; we execute them with determination." He stressed the importance of public-private partnerships for sustainable national development, positioning the Abuja City Walk as a prime example of such collaboration.

The president further noted that granting the corridor Free Trade Zone status would streamline trade, encourage regional commerce, boost medical tourism, and foster high-end retail and hospitality businesses. He assured investors of Nigeria's dedication to creating a secure investment climate, with continuous optimization of legal, physical, and financial frameworks to protect capital and ensure returns.

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, was commended for his role in revitalizing the Abuja Technology Village corridor. Tinubu urged the FCT Administration and the project developers, Master International Links, to ensure rapid physical construction following the experience center's launch. He declared an end to the era of land speculation and abandoned projects in Abuja, framing the experience center as an invitation to participate in Nigeria's future and a testament to the nation's capacity for realizing ambitious dreams.
