Tinubu hails Rangers International after ninth NPFL title win

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Rangers International FC's record-extending ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title win. The Enugu-based club secured the 2024/2025 season championship with 68 points from 38 matches, finishing ahead of closest rivals Rivers United.

In a statement released on Monday, Tinubu lauded the club's managers, players, and fans for their achievement. He highlighted Rangers' significant historical contributions to Nigerian and African football, recalling their dominance in the 1970s and 1980s, including league and cup successes, and continental finals and victories.

Tinubu also recognized Rivers United for their competitive and disciplined performance throughout the season, acknowledging their sportsmanship. Both Rangers International FC and Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the upcoming CAF Champions League, with the President wishing them success.
