Tinubu has done more for North than any other leader — Kaduna gov

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared that President Bola Tinubu has delivered more for Northern Nigeria than any preceding leader, backing his claim with data on infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare projects. Sani also dismissed speculation that the North would not support Tinubu's re-election in 2027, asserting the president would secure an even larger mandate from the region.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE Television, Governor Sani stated emphatically, "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, I can tell you, he has done more than any leader for Northern Nigeria." He elaborated, "No president has done to the North in terms of development as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done in the last three years. And I’m speaking on the basis of data and statistics."

Sani highlighted several key infrastructure projects as evidence of the administration's commitment. He pointed to the Abuja-Kaduna road, noting that work, which had stalled for years, is nearing completion under Tinubu. He stated that over 600 billion naira has been paid to the contractor, with the project slated for commissioning in November. Additionally, he mentioned the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road, abandoned for over two decades, for which the President recently approved part of the 178 billion naira needed for its construction.

The governor also praised the Federal Government's agricultural support, deeming it crucial for Kaduna's economy. "Mr President has supported subnationals, including Kaduna State Government, in agriculture. Because for me, agriculture is the mainstay of our economy," he said.

As we are speaking, and you should jot it down, this project will be commissioned, by God’s grace, November this year, because over N600 billion has already been paid to the contractor.

Dismissing claims of waning popularity, Sani confidently predicted Tinubu's electoral success in the North. "A lot of people have come here and told you the North will not vote for Asiwaju. That is a figment of their imagination," he asserted. "I can tell you categorically, I’m the Governor of Kaduna State and I can tell you, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will get more votes in 2027 than what he got."
