Tinubu hosts Doguwa, Akpabio, Oyetola at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu engaged in a series of closed-door meetings with prominent political figures at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Among those seen entering the President's office were Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio also arrived at the villa earlier in the evening. Oyetola's visit occurred shortly after the August 15, 2026, governorship election in Osun State, where Governor Ademola Adeleke was declared the winner. The timing of these meetings has led to speculation within political circles.

While the specific agendas for these individual meetings remain undisclosed, their occurrence precedes a scheduled Federal Executive Council meeting. The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, was also observed at the Villa within the same timeframe.
