Tinubu is rebuilding South-east to heal civil war wounds, says Soludo

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has lauded President Bola Tinubu's administration for its dedication to reconstructing the South-east region, stating that it is helping to heal the wounds of the Nigerian civil war. Soludo expressed his admiration in a Facebook post on Thursday, emphasizing that Tinubu is making significant strides in rebuilding the area.

Certainly, President Tinubu has a date with history, and even more so with the South-east. He continues to demonstrate his avowed commitment to orchestrating the reconstruction of the South-east, thereby finally healing the wounds of the civil war.

Soludo's praise follows the Presidency's approval of two federal road projects in Anambra State. One project involves the 108km Otuocha–Anam–Abaji road, connecting Anambra to Kogi State. The second is the approximately 150km Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube Road, which links Anambra to Imo, Enugu, Abia, and Port Harcourt. Both roads are slated for dualization.

On the 15th July, I received a message from the Ministry of Works that the president has graciously approved both roads for ‘design and procurement.’

According to Soludo, he discussed these road projects with President Tinubu on July 1, and subsequently received confirmation of the approval for design and procurement from the Minister of Works on July 15. The governor described these roads as "critical game-changers" for the South-east, South-south, and North-central regions of Nigeria.

What can I say? These two roads constitute critical game-changers for the South-east, South-south and North -central.

Governor Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been a vocal supporter of President Tinubu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He believes Tinubu is redefining Nigerian politics through tangible infrastructural development in the South-east, fostering a collaborative spirit between progressive parties. Soludo views this approach as essential for achieving concrete results that improve citizens' lives.
