Tinubu mourns ex-minister Amaechi’s mother

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sorrow over the death of Dame Ezinne Amaechi, the mother of former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. Dame Amaechi passed away at the age of 89.

In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu remembered Dame Amaechi as a woman deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. He highlighted her life as one characterized by love, sacrifice, and selfless service to her family and community.

Tinubu noted that Dame Amaechi raised children committed to public service and that her life embodied virtues such as kindness, perseverance, and humility. These qualities, he said, made her well-loved by many.
