Tinubu, Oborevwori Women Support Group Empowers 250 in Delta

The FOOG Women Support Group recently empowered over 250 men and women in Delta Central senatorial district, aiming to galvanize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, ahead of the 2027 general election. The program, themed 'Men/Women Empowerment Programme in Line with the Renewed Hope for MORE Initiative,' focused on promoting the ideals of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda. It also sought to support beneficiaries' livelihoods through the distribution of empowerment items. Held at Okpe Hall in Orerokpe, the event was described by the Director-General of FOOG, Chief (Mrs.) Esther Okotie-Eboh, as more than a political gathering. She emphasized it as a platform to champion continuity, stability, and sustained development. "This gathering is not just about politics; it is about the future of our nation. It is about continuity, stability and building on the solid foundation being laid by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our working Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori," she stated. Okotie-Eboh highlighted that the impact of both the Renewed Hope Agenda and the MORE Agenda is already visible across Nigeria and Delta State, asserting that the administrations' achievements speak for themselves. She urged FOOG members and supporters to mobilize responsibly and work towards ensuring the success of the Tinubu-Oborevwori ticket in the 2027 elections. The Director-General also expressed gratitude to the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom for supporting the empowerment initiative, explaining that the donated items were intended to enhance beneficiaries' livelihoods, strengthen businesses, and improve economic well-being. Chief Hon. (Mrs.) Dora Sakpaide, Delta Central senatorial district Coordinator for FOOG, echoed these sentiments, urging women in the district to support the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. She commended both administrations as people-oriented, committed to improving Nigerians' welfare, and pointed to Governor Oborevwori's extensive infrastructure development in Delta State, including the construction of over 510 roads and bridges.
