Tinubu reforms helping states deliver projects, pay salaries — Radda

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, asserts that President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms are empowering states to undertake significant development projects and meet salary and pension obligations without resorting to loans. Radda made these remarks at an empowerment program in Katsina, highlighting his administration's success in executing projects worth over N30 billion without incurring debt.

Today, there is no sector where we are taking a loan to execute a single project in Katsina State. We are paying pensions and meeting our obligations to the people of Katsina.

Governor Radda contrasted the current situation with the past, when states frequently borrowed to cover workers' salaries. He emphasized that leadership should be judged by performance and tangible results, not just political rhetoric. According to Radda, President Tinubu's reforms, particularly the granting of financial autonomy to local governments, have been instrumental in enabling states to deliver projects and consistently pay salaries and pensions.

He also commended the Tinubu/Dikko Assured 2027 initiative for its focus on grassroots development and empowerment of Islamiyya teachers, personally donating N7 million to the beneficiaries. Radda urged citizens and organizations to support government efforts, cautioning against misinformation that could hinder development. Former Governor Aminu Masari echoed these sentiments, praising Tinubu and Radda's achievements and citing major federal infrastructure projects as drivers of economic activity and agricultural development.
