In a statement released by his office, Sanwo-Olu described Tinubu's primary victory as "well deserved." He commended the APC's National Working Committee and state executives for orchestrating peaceful and well-organized elections nationwide. The governor specifically praised the party's adoption of direct primaries, viewing it as a significant step toward strengthening internal democracy by empowering members in the candidate selection process.

Sanwo-Olu also lauded President Tinubu's economic agenda, characterizing the administration's recent decisions as difficult but essential for stabilizing Nigeria's economy and fostering sustainable growth.
