Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has strongly defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms, asserting that the administration's bold policy decisions are already laying the groundwork for national recovery despite current economic difficulties. Speaking at the opening of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors' Retreat in Abuja, Yahaya praised Tinubu as a courageous and visionary leader for confronting Nigeria's deep-seated economic problems.

The governor also cautioned against deliberate misinformation campaigns designed to undermine public confidence in the Tinubu administration's achievements. "We must never allow the opposition to define the narrative. Our job is to meet falsehood with facts, despair with data and cynicism with the undeniable evidence of progress," he declared.

Governor Yahaya urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a civic engagement movement, to intensify grassroots efforts. He emphasized the need to aggressively communicate the administration's achievements and long-term objectives nationwide, noting that many Nigerians have yet to fully grasp the strategic vision and future benefits of the ongoing reforms. Yahaya highlighted the movement's pivotal role in shaping public engagement and consolidating support ahead of the 2027 general elections, calling mobilization "critical to sustaining the administration’s political momentum."
