Tinubu sweeps Yobe APC presidential primary with 253,804 votes

President Bola Tinubu secured a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Yobe State, garnering 253,804 votes. Governor Mai Mala Buni, who served as the collation officer, announced the results in Damaturu, stating that Tinubu's win represented 91.5% of the total registered APC members in the state.

President Tinubu has scored 91.5 per cent of the total number of registered APC members in Yobe State in today’s presidential primary election.

Tinubu's sole challenger, Osifo Stanley, received zero votes in the election. Governor Buni declared Tinubu the winner, emphasizing the overwhelming support within the state's APC membership. He described Yobe State as an APC stronghold and a "second home" for the President.

President Tinubu was declared winner of the election, having scored 253,804 votes to beat Osifo Stanley, who scored zero votes.

Assuring strong backing for the upcoming general election, Governor Buni pledged that Yobe State would deliver "100% of its votes to President Tinubu" to secure his second term. He commended the APC supporters for their significant turnout during the primary and urged them to maintain this commitment for the general election.

The governor also praised the peaceful conduct of the primary election across Yobe State's 17 local government areas. He characterized the exercise as a clear demonstration of loyalty and support for both President Tinubu and the ruling APC, reinforcing the party's dominance in the region.
