Tinubu wins APC primary in Gombe with 450,517 votes

President Bola Tinubu has secured a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Gombe State, garnering 450,517 votes. His opponent, Stanley Osifo, received no votes in the election.

As you can see, in my capacity as the APC presidential primary collation officer and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s coordinator for Gombe State, I have successfully collated the results from all the eleven local government areas where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo contested for the presidential ticket.

Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, who served as the APC presidential primary collation officer and Tinubu’s coordinator for Gombe State, announced the results. He described the outcome as a clear demonstration of the state's unwavering support for President Tinubu and the APC as the nation looks toward the 2027 general elections.

The governor reported that the exercise, which involved collating votes from all 11 local government areas, was peaceful and transparent. He emphasized that the results reflect the confidence party members have in the current APC administration. "Gombe State has a total of 550,516 registered APC members. After collating and summing up votes cast across the eleven local government areas, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured an overwhelming 450,517 votes, while Mr Stanley Osifo recorded zero votes," Yahaya stated.

Governor Yahaya added that the overwhelming support shown during the primary demonstrates the unity and commitment of APC members in Gombe State to the continuity of the Tinubu administration beyond 2027. He noted that the result signifies total acceptance of Tinubu’s leadership and his developmental policies nationwide. The Gombe State APC chairman, Mohammed Ndus, echoed these sentiments, calling the primary historic and a significant step in the party's preparations for the upcoming elections.
