The Samoa Water Authority has welcomed a new leader, with Cabinet officially approving the appointment of Leota Namulau’ulu Irasa Mauala Alafau as its Chief Executive Officer. This significant appointment, effective for a three-year term, signals a new chapter for the vital public utility responsible for managing Samoa's water resources.

Leota's extensive experience within the Samoa Water Authority, accumulated over many years of dedicated service, makes her a highly qualified candidate for this leadership role. Her deep understanding of the organization's operations and challenges is expected to provide stability and strategic direction as she takes the helm.

Her predecessor, Fuimaono Dominic Fa’ato’ialemanū Tufuga Schwalger, has resigned from the position. The transition marks a change in leadership, and the Authority looks forward to Leota's contributions in ensuring the continued provision of essential water services to the people of Samoa.
